It’s been a truly incredible experience co-producing, recording And creating this lullaby album with my daughter ‘Ömealani at every studio session with me from the beginning . I felt so much love and inspiration in my new role as a mother throughout this entire process. Even more special was finding out that I was häpai (pregnant) again with my second child. “You Are My Sunshine,” “By Your Side,” “Songbird,” and “Kawelokiliwehi (Mahina)” are all very significant songs to me for different reasons but to sing them in our native Hawaiian language just really took them to a new special place.
